Join Ordway, a fast-growing B2B SaaS company, as a Solution Engineer. You’ll quickly become an expert in Ordway’s product suite and lead high-impact demos that clearly connect our capabilities to a prospect’s subscription billing and revenue recognition needs. You’ll partner tightly with Sales, Product, and Client Services to craft detailed, tailored presentations, propose winning programs, and guide customers from first meeting through a smooth handoff into a long-term relationship. If you bring 5+ years in billing, ERP, finance, or accounting, thrive in consultative B2B sales, and love creatively winning deals from competitors (with ~10% travel), we want to meet you.

Job Responsibilities

  • Become an expert in Ordway’s suite of products – billing software, accounts receivable automation, and SaaS metrics reporting
  • Present products or services that would be beneficial to the potential customer’s business
  • Plan detailed presentations that show potential customers’ product info and benefits
  • Develop products or program suggestions for clients and successfully sell them
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to present the best solution for a potential customer
  • Meet with potential customers at appointments for sales presentations
  • Follow up to ensure the customer is happy throughout the sales process
  • Work closely with Ordway client services team to ensure a smooth transition from the sales process to an ongoing relationship
  • Acquire new customers by winning them over from competitors and discovering new opportunities

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology or finance discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience with billing, ERP, finance, or accounting software
  • Creativity to approach sales and build customer relationships in groundbreaking new ways
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Previous experience in business-to-business (B2B) sales
  • Willingness and ability to travel 10% of the time
  • Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Negotiation and social problem-solving skills
