SaaS Billing and Revenue Automation Platform Integrates with Leading Payment Gateway

WASHINGTON – July 20, 2025 – Ordway, the finance platform for innovative business models, today announced a new integration with PayPal Enterprise Payments, formerly known as Braintree.  Ordway’s billing and revenue automation customers can now connect to PayPal’s gateway to process credit card, debit card, digital wallet, peer-to-peer, and buy now pay later transactions from their consumer and business customers.

PayPal Enterprise (Braintree) processes over 25 billion transactions per year across 200+ markets worldwide, representing over $1.5 trillion in total payment volume.  With PayPal Enterprise (Braintree), Ordway customers can accept local and global payment methods on a PCI-compliant, secure platform.  With the new payment gateway integration, end customers can also take advantage of PayPal’s offerings, including its buy-now-pay-later service, PayPal PayLater, and its peer-to-peer money transfer service, Venmo for Business.

Customers of Ordway’s billing and revenue management platform can now embed the various PayPal Enterprise services in all of their channels:

  • Online Checkout – Ordway customers can offer self-service online checkout to pay for subscriptions, software, and other cloud services without speaking to a sales representative.  Self-service upgrade experiences can also be offered to allow for online purchase of additional seats, tokens/credits, or plan/tier upgrades using Venmo, PayPal, and other methods enabled by the Braintree gateway.
  • Hosted Payment Pages – Ordway customers can embed “Pay Now” links in their billing portal, PDF invoices, customer statements, and dunning email communications.  Pay Now links redirect users to a secure, hosted payment page that can be used to remit funds with Venmo, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, ACH bank transfer, or other payment methods supported by Braintree.
  • Auto Pay (Recurring Billing) – Ordway customers with recurring billing processes can enroll their end users in automated payment plans supported by Braintree’s credit card and ACH bank transfer options.  Customers can register for auto-pay when they initially purchase a subscription or any time during their contract to avoid the hassle of keeping up with monthly billing cycles.

Existing Ordway customers who want to leverage their Braintree account can activate the connection in just a few steps using the self-service payment integrations in the settings menu.  Customers can select the specific payment methods they want to allow, including traditional credit cards from Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover, PayPal, Venmo, and PayPal PayLater.  Payments can also be accepted via automated clearinghouse (ACH) bank transfers after the end-user confirms account ownership via a micro-deposit or an instant network login.

Ordway’s Braintree PayPal Enterprise Payments connection is part of the company’s Accounts Receivable Automation software module.  The AR module also includes a customer billing portal that enables end users to view account balances, download historical invoices, and make online payments.  Ordway’s Accounts Receivable software also enables finance teams to track receivable aging and calculate days sales outstanding (DSOs).  Highly configurable dunning workflows enable a wide variety of automated customer communications, including notifications about upcoming automated renewals, recently issued invoices, expired payment methods, and overdue account balances.
