Top Marks and 20 Badges from Real End-User Reviews in G2’s Winter 2026 Reports

WASHINGTON – December 15, 2025 – Ordway, the finance platform for innovative business models, was recognized by G2, the world’s leading software marketplace, for its strengths in its usage-based billing software in various Winter 2026 reports.  Real-world user reviews gave Ordway top marks in 20 different categories of rankings, including overall “best meets requirements” and “users most likely to recommend.”

“With the massive surge in AI adoption throughout 2025, we’ve seen usage-based pricing evolve from a niche strategy used by infrastructure-as-a-service players to a mainstream monetization play by almost every SaaS company on the planet,” said Sameer Gulati, CEO and founder of Ordway.  “Our development team has spent many long nights since 2018 building our usage rating engine, data mediation platform, and prepaid credit balance ledger, and it’s rewarding to see the payback from so many happy customers on G2.”

Ordway’s usage-based billing software provides rating of metered consumption and line item invoice calculations for a wide variety of:

  • Pricing Metrics and Discounting Models – Linear, volume, and tiered discounting models for usage-based pricing formulas that invoice based on time (hours, minutes), volume (GB storage), transactions (events, API calls), and count (devices, endpoints) metrics for consumption.
  • Capacity Contract Structures – Both annual and multi-year contract structures, including those with monthly minimums with overage fees, prepaid credits with monthly drawdowns, spend commitments with true-ups, as well as monthly, pay-as-you-go plans.
  • Billable Usage Quantity Formulas – Analysis of raw metered consumption data to perform rounding, block aggregation, average, mean, or summary count calculations. Complex formulas to enable high water mark, percentile billing, and usage pooling across business units, legal entities, and product lines.

Inclusion in G2’s Grid Reports is based on a combination of user reviews for customer satisfaction factors, such as ease of use, quality of support, and product requirement fulfillment, as well as market presence factors, including company size, social signals, market share, and review volume.  To receive a G2 badge, a company’s product needs to rank in the Leader or High Performer quadrants of the Grid Report.

In a recent G2 review, Peter Alam-Carey, Director of Finance for YCharts stated “We set out to find a billing platform that would enable us to retain the same level of customization and control we had with our manual spreadsheet-based process, but found that all of the big players in the ERP and SaaS billing spaces were basically unable to accomodate our needs (we evaluated NetSuite , Chargebee, Zuora, SaasOptics, Recurly etc). Ordway immediately stood out as an intuitive platform that is highly customizable and intuitive.”
